Oh my! After I published the Nikon F review I noticed that I had never written a review about my favorite camera – film or digital – ever: the mighty Nikon F4s. So here we are!
This started out as the satisfaction of an old, almost ancient!, whim of mine. The Nikon F, the camera that jumpstarted the SLR revolution in the professional field, has been on my radar since I was a kid (and, at the time, a Nikon shooter).
A.k.a. “The lens which came in from the cold” Russians have a way with glass. Assuming your sample has not been assembled by a still drunk worker on a Monday morning (or so the legend goes), the quality is often way better than it should, especially when you factor in the price.
Once upon a time Voigtlander wasn’t just a subsidiary of Cosina. They were one of the big players in photography and already manufacturing some really neat stuff.
