You cannot mistake Cosenza for a northern city: the streets bustling with life at all hours for most of the year; the people friendly beyond compare; and, naturally, the heat, often almost too much even in December; all give away its true nature and location. Still, when I take pictures of my city, I tend to look outside its boundaries, towards the mountains drawing an edge to the sky in the not-too-far distance, or its outskirts, where again nature meets concrete in a way, for me, fascinating. I have always been attracted to these boundaries where two words mix and the crowds leave room for oases of peace and quiet.
